EXCELLENT Based on 7 reviews Posted on Christopher HamptonVerified Flashes of Brilliance | Poignant soul-stirring reflections Glen Waguespack is by trade and interest at least, a Naturalist. His knowledge of trees, shrubs and earth are a passion, and part of his daily challenge. Within this environment he pauses in a workday of often unvaried action to take notice of a particular blade of grass, or branch, or bird. He then poignantly creates soul-stirring reflections; i.e., ‘Flashes of Brilliance!’ My lose designation ‘Naturalist’ doesn’t finalize his work though. Glen’s subject matter is manifold. His writing is revitalizing and acute. His poetic style refreshing, and his word play and meter reflect the beauty he sees and the emotions he feels. There is no minimalist word-fare leading to dark thoughts and brutalist imagery. Rather, his poems remind me that my ordinary life is not ordinary at all. My life, and our communal human existence, is indeed brilliant. It is in deed a Gift. Take this book and enjoy it. There’s more to come. Glen is a prolific writer. You will have favorites no doubt, but within, there is a beautiful thought and reflection for each day.Posted on peggy ibosVerified Flashes of Brilliance | Great Expression Very thought provoking Well written Easy reading though very deep at times Glen you did a great job and this Looking forward to your next bookPosted on Richey1202Verified Flashes of Brilliance | Introspective A book of poems/thoughts which are humorous, sad, profound, and introspective. You never know when reading one will land just when you need it most. There's so many great ones to choose as my favorite, but The Silence Between My Words made me think of lost relationships. 10/10Posted on Karen SmoyerVerified Flashes of Brilliance | Some great modern poetry A surprise on every page. From an on-target ode to New Orleans' hot mess of a mayor to a moving ode about the Shiloh Battlefield. Glenn writes from the heart, and it shows. I think you'll find the poems touching and easy to relate to. Buy it and enjoy!
